CAD design and production of prototypes

By using special prototyping techniques, Grohmann considerably cuts the time needed for making cast parts for all sorts of industry sectors. This service is utilised not only by OEMs, but by die-casting foundries as well.

The special mould materials enable the making of prototypes with surfaces, dimensional accuracy and shapes that match those of die-cast parts.

The close collaboration with the customer begins at the very outset, creating and optimising CAD data for the casting process. Thanks to 3D printing in plastic and production using various sand block methods, you are quickly able to see how your parts will look.

Prototyping know-how is provided at every site, while the Grohmann factories in Hirrlingen und Ötisheim specialise on extremely fine surfaces.
